Franklin, TN. February 26, 2007 SME – Southeastern Manufacturing Enterprise - announces the newest member of their entry-level inkjet filling line-up – JetClean™ 100. The JetClean 100 uses a unique atomized water-jet system to penetrate and unclog inkjet cartridge nozzles. Unlike ultrasonic or steam cleaning methods, the atomization process thoroughly cleans print heads, as well as cartridge interiors and exteriors, without causing any damage. The JetClean 100 model is both effective, compact (footprint only 12” x 12” x 6”) and does not require electrical input for operation.
SME introduced atomization cleaning to the industrial inkjet market in 2001. Allen Luthy, the Director of Retail Systems, said, “Steam cleaning does not eliminate the streaky prints on the newer inkjet cartridges that are firing the 4-5 Pico liter-sized ink droplets. The ultrasonic bath cleaning process should only be used as a last resort because it can damage many print heads. The JetClean 100 is perfect because it is not only inexpensive (only $1195) but built ruggedly like our other industrial inkjet equipment.”
The JetClean 100 will be showcased at PMA, March 8-11 in Las Vegas, Nevada. For more information, contact Karen Priest at 615-794-5568 x248.
